Mid-level Experienced Python/Django Web Developer

Commitment: Full Time

Location: 100% Telecommute

Compensation: $50-60k DOE, competitive benefits package

Hours: Flexible schedule, 40 hours/week

General Description:  This position will report directly to the Product Manager and be responsible for Django web application development, testing, and debugging, as well as deployment to staging and production environments upon approval and successful testing.  A successful applicant will be a creative individual, comfortable participating in design discussions, dedicated to quality work and successful testing, and be a motivated self-starter  - no micromanaging here. 

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years Python/Django Web Development, or equivalent coursework
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting web-based applications
• Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
• Experience with responsive design standards and practices
• Familiarity with Git
• Comfortable in a Linux (Ubuntu) environment
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, to set and meet deadlines, and to adapt to changing situations, priorities, and technologies
• Excellent skills in written/oral communication, interpersonal relations, and collaboration skills
• Strong initiative and ability to function independently

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Real Estate marketing and technologies (RETS, MLS) a plus
• Familiarity with PostrgreSQL a plus
• Familiarity with GEOS, PostGIS, GeoDjango a plus
• Experience programming/scripting in Python beyond web development a plus
